Product Description
Product Overview
Built for registered data and communications cablers working on Australian structured cabling installations, this professional PoE Ethernet Tester Kit replaces the need for multiple tools on site. It combines PoE detection, TDR cable length measurement, Ethernet wire mapping, and tone and probe tracing in one rugged carry case, handling everything from initial verification to faultfinding on active and passive networks without disturbing cabling or network configuration. The included 36-piece ID terminator set, with 18 RJ45 LAN connectors and 18 F-Connector terminators, makes it equally capable on structured cabling and multirun identification work across commercial and residential environments.
Key Features
- PoE Detection and Switch Verification: Confirms IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at PoE presence on active networks without disconnecting devices. Supports testing of IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and PoE switches across live installations.
- TDR Cable Length and Fault Location: Time Domain Reflectometry accurately measures cable length and calculates the exact distance to opens, shorts, and other faults. Reduces disruption during faultfinding on AS/CA S009 compliant structured cabling systems and eliminates guesswork entirely.
- Ethernet Wire Mapping and Continuity: Verifies wire map and continuity on RJ45 cabling, instantly identifying opens, shorts, crossovers, and split pairs across Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A installations.
- Tone Generator and Inductive Probe: Traces cables non-invasively through ceilings, risers, wall cavities, racks, and communications cupboards without requiring access to both ends of the cable run.
- 36-Piece ID Terminator Set: Ships with 18 RJ45 LAN ID connectors and 18 F-Connector ID terminators, enabling fast identification and labelling of multiple cable runs simultaneously across large patch panels and multirun installations.
- Rugged Padded Carry Case: All components are housed in a durable padded plastic carry case built to handle daily transport between job sites and workshops.
