The 606 Socket (611W) with Cams is designed for security devices, diallers, modems, and other auxiliary equipment. It accepts 604, 605, or 606 telephone plugs and is commonly known as a mode-3 socket. The cam mechanism allows each terminal pair to be switched or unswitched when the plug is withdrawn.
