Access has a custom built facility to produce custom products.
As with all products supplied by Access they come fully supported and meet Australian/NZ standards.

available in 1RU, 2RU.
• Patch Cable; any length.
• IEC Power Cords; full range of
IEC-320 appliance connectors.

products crosses many industries and numerous customer specifications. In 2017 Access worked with a customer from the sanitation industry to retro fit a current (and industry standard) product using a modified power supply to improve on the original design and purpose.
CUSTOMISATION EXAMPLE
Customisation is taken to a whole new level, with Access’ Custom Assemblies. An example of this is best explained by a case study.
Early in 2018, when a retail food giant wanted to bring a unique Point of Sale system (P.O.S.) to life in their nationwide chain of stores, they contacted Access Communications after their previous cable supplier couldn’t deliver.
And Access certainly delivered, with over 2000 P.O.S. units now being set in motion utilising the custom cable solution Access provided.
“When we approached Access we knew exactly what we wanted, this project had been in [internal] development for a long time. After listening and reviewing our requirements Access responded with a custom cable product that surpassed our original brief. We were blown away by their knowledge, solution and turnaround time” said the customer’s I.T. Project Manager.
The custom developed product is now protected by a non-disclosure agreement but what we can reveal is that several cable technologies were utilised and combined in such a way to achieve the customers outcome and meet specific regulations. The mastery lies in efficiency, knowing the right cable and cable combinations to deliver the required outcome, in this case; power, video and data network connectivity. Access brought their team together to deliver on the complex and divergent specification.
In speaking with Access’ Product Manager, Lucas Tan, it is obvious that this is a professional passion and a mainstay of Access’ business. “We get a real thrill out of the challenge, developing something unique with our customer is exciting and we’re proud to be part of the solution.”
