Connecting the Universal Alarm to a PA system's Auxiliary Input.
The "PA Amplifier Output" screw terminals 3 & 9 provide an output from the alarm to the unbalanced auxiliary input (10K ohms) of a PA amplifier. The alarm's tones will be broadcast through the existing PA system.
Use the volume control for the PA's auxiliary input to adjust the level of the alarm tones heard through the PA system. The volume control on the Universal Alarm has no effect on the loudness of the alarm tones heard through the PA system speakers.
It's also possible to simultaneously use the "standard" outputs from the Universal Alarm for either 6 strobe lights or for two horn speakers or for one horn speaker and two strobe lights.
The Universal Alarm cannot be used as a PA system for paging etc.
