Can I make the alarm louder?

Several speakers can be connected to the speaker terminals of the Universal Alarm as long as the total load is greater than 4 ohms. Connecting two 8-ohm speakers or four 16-ohm speakers in parallel will give a larger coverage-area than just a single speaker.

The dry-contact output from the Universal Alarm can be used to drive a self-powered piezo alarm (or a self-powered "burglar alarm" siren etc). These devices can have a very high db output-level. This extra alarm can be used in conjunction with one or more speakers connected to the Universal Alarm's screw terminals
